The festival gives high school learners empowerment by giving them the opportunity to shine. The Artscape allows youth to conceptualize, write, and perform a short drama, based on a prescribed theme. Sixteen plays were chosen for this year's show.
The festival started with mini community festivals across the Western Cape and out of over 60 entries; a few are chosen to participate in the main festival at the Artscape Arena.
